I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University where I studied early childhood education. After working for a couple years, I enrolled in a Master's degree program at the University of Pittsburgh. I received my certification as a teacher of the visually impaired, and taught for many years in this role. I have worked with children of all ages and in a variety of settings. I returned to the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 and received my certification as a principal K-12 and curriculum and instruction director. I love to learn, and am currently enrolled in a doctoral program working toward my ED.D. in reading and literacy.

I taught in public schools, private settings and early intervention for many years. I moved to South Carolina in 2007 where I worked for Beaufort County School District for 8 years. I was an administrator at an elementary school, and after this long wanted a new learning experience. I took a position at RLOACS and have been here since.

I am excited to be starting my third year at RLOACS! I have lived in Bluffton, SC since 2007 and I love the tropical climate. Raised in Pittssburgh, PA, I grew up with a lot of snow, cold weather and grey skies. After working for Beaufort County School District for 8 years, I took a position working for Dr. Wicks.
