I began teaching in 2013 at Coastal Leadership Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Before teaching, I spent 4 years in the hospitality industry before deciding to change careers.  While teaching I have had the opportunity to lead a variety of courses including English, Teacher Cadet, Desktop Publishing, and Leadership.  I love teaching using hands-on methods, specifically PBL.  I enjoy introducing students to problems and watching them learn as they develop their solutions.  I joined Royal Live Oaks Academy in 2016 as PBL/STEAM Support.  I look forward to continuing to grow as an educator at RLOACS!

I was born and raised in South Carolina and I have lived in both the Upstate area and Coastal area.  I attended Clemson Unveristy and graduated from there with a B.S. degree in 2009.  I have been teaching in South Carolina since 2013 and I have enjoyed each every year. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing with my dogs, photography, and reading.  I am also a HUGE Clemson fan!
