C.A.P.T.U.R.E., Career & Academic Proficiency Training with Urban Resource Employers - a pilot program/ grant developed for high school students identified as Specific Learning Disabled who sepnt a portion of their school day at a work site, The New York Zoological Society, The New York Botanical Garden, The Jewish Home for the Aged & Blind. Each student received a stipend for their employment.
The Greening of Special Education - A project developed with the staff of Benjamin Frnaklin High School to restore an unused school greenhouse and to develop a program for the high school SPED population in that school to gain entry level skills in the field of argiculture.
Circle of Champions - A competative field day in the areas of track & field, swimming, basketball & baseball for all high school SPED students in the borough of Manhattan. All students were awarded a t shirt, mug and ribbons for their achievements.
