I graduated from the South Carolina Governor's School of the Arts and Humanities in 2011 with a concentration in Sculpture. In 2015, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Winthrop University with a BFA in Fine Arts. At Winthrop, I enjoyed serving as President of the Art Education Association and the Guild of Emerging Metalsmiths. Last year, I was working on integrating Arts, STEAM, and PBL into the curriculum at RLOA. I also got to teach yoga (earning the nickname of "Miss Yoga" in fist grade)! This past summer (2017) was my second time working the summer programs at SCGSAH where I got to work with high school students who were passionate about beginning their education in the arts. This year I am excited because I will working as Art Teacher in K-5 and Yoga Teacher in Middle School. Looking forward to a wonderful and creative year at RLOA!
